Principal TPM , Sales Abuse Prevention
We are looking for an experienced technical program leader to lead our sales abuse prevention team engineering and science roadmap, focused on detecting and preventing abuse via reviews, external channels (e.g. social media, 3P websites), internal search and competitor abuse. The team’s mission is to protect and preserve the integrity of Amazon's stores by ensuring a level playing field for all selling partners. We do so by eliminating fraudulent and deceptive practices that undermine the trust and confidence of customers and selling partners. We aim to detect and deter bad actors who seek to manipulate Amazon’s community content, e.g. reviews, feedback, Q&A, etc. and product placement, e.g. Search, P13N, Ads, etc. to gain an unfair competitive advantage. We detect instances of fraud and abuse across Amazon’s online WW stores by building new machine learning models and scalable services. We empower other Amazon teams that similar needs to benefit from our expertise and services. We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager that can apply critical thinking and innovate in fast-paced environment, where their decisions directly influence Amazon’s customers shopping experience. Some of the projects this leader will work on include designing new frameworks that allow Amazon remove the reliance on human decisioning in favor of machine learning, building new software architectures that allow us to quickly react to changes in fraud and abuse trends, and launching new services to prevent abusive or fraudulent behavior before it reaches Amazon’s customers.We are a diverse team that is passionate about operational excellence and high-quality deliverables. Our solutions influence the products and plans of multiple internal teams, and we design and build systems that directly influence the shopping experience of millions of customers.Key job responsibilities- Lead the effective and efficient design and delivery of complex operations automation for new Fraud and Abuse prevention mechanism, working across all engineering disciplines.- Interact with key stakeholders to define and deliver against project goals, including both technical and operational deliverables.- Collaborate cross functionally to support extensible solution development and integration.- An ideal candidate has experience with complex system design, including experience integrating hardware and software deliverables- Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results- Lead the development and decomposition of comprehensive functional requirements & specifications, partnering with Product Management, Operations, Science, Engineering and business stakeholders.- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at the program level- Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities- Develop and drive engineering project schedules- Deliver programs across all engineering disciplines including Science, Software, Regulatory Compliance, Systems, and Quality- Triage, prioritize, and execute against incoming requests from Product Management, Business Teams and RoadmapBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience- 5+ years of software development experience- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules ...
