As the Senior Manager of Risk Management, you will be expected to constantly think about how the program can better serve WWOS and internal stakeholders. This leadership position requires the ability to clearly and confidently articulate the value and findings of the People Risk Management Program, inclusive of VCE, StrengthScope and other key People Risk programs to business leaders. You will lead efforts to enhance and optimize the existing People Risk - VCE Management Program, develop and implement strategies to ensure operational continuity, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to create efficient, non-disruptive risk management processes.
Key responsibilities include managing and investing in the VCE program to ensure it continues delivering the intended people risk mitigation benefits. You will need to address critical areas such as Abnormalities Management, Exception Process Management, and System Integration Considerations. Key job responsibilities
- Lead the strategic expansion of the VCE (Veritas Evaluation) program into new geographic markets, collaborating with regional Security & Loss Prevention and cross functional teams to develop tailored question banks.
- Conduct comprehensive studies of global candidates check processes to identify opportunities for VCE implementation.
- Oversee complex VCE and People Risk assessments, implementing mitigation plans aligned with organizational risk appetite.
- Develop and implement strategic goals and initiatives impacting WWOS and critical stakeholders.
- Transform risk program delivery through standardization, optimization, and automation.
- Support security and loss prevention People Risk programs, contributing to global capabilities and kingpin goals.

The WWOS People Risk Team is dedicated to mitigating person-centric risks through proactive and holistic solutions. Our vision is to safeguard Amazon's workforce, assets, and brand while fostering a secure and empowering environment for every employee. Working closely with WWOS, PXT, Security and Loss Prevention, and other key stakeholders, we secure Amazon's supply chain end-to-end and prioritize People Risk/Security in business conversations. Our team creates and maintains risk frameworks, provides assessments, preparedness strategies, contingency planning, and incident response services. We operate on strategic, tactical, and operational levels, implementing standardized policies and leveraging technology to enhance consistency and effectiveness. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Security Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in risk management, security operations, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk assessment frameworks and mitigation strategies on a global scale.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects at scale.
- Experience with personnel risk management tools and techniques, preferably including familiarity with systems similar to VCE or StrengthScope.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of global security threats, and cultural nuances affecting risk profiles in different regions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills leading and partnering with global and regional cross functional teams.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including experience with relevant risk management software and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to personnel risk management across multiple jurisdictions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $214,500/year in our highest geographic market.
