Amazon is seeking an experienced Analytics Program Manager to join our team and help unlock insights that drive strategic business decisions. This role is part of the Owned Content & Channels team, which sits within Amazon’s communications org. Working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, this role will balance effective program management with day-to-day ownership of business data to drive insights and actions. The right candidate will blend advanced reporting with strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills, analyzing the performance of our content and channels and making recommendations to guide strategy. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key.

This role will analyze and develop insights across a global collection of websites and will need to work closely with a wide variety of partners around the world across multiple languages.

You are a natural analyst, detail oriented, and possess expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate knows and loves working with business analytics and website analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Adobe Analytics, Parse.ly, Chartbeat), and can partner with business leaders to deep-dive into data to solve complex business problems. You are analytical, organized, curious, and work backwards from the business problem. Cross-team coordination, project management, and strong writing skills are essential. This role reports into the Sr. Analytics Program Manager.


Key job responsibilities
• Own the reporting for Amazon’s international owned content and channels, including About Amazon websites in NA, EMEA and APAC. Ensure measurement and reporting consistency among the team.
• Develop weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports for key About Amazon websites, including performance metrics and insights.
• Develop quarterly deep-dive reports for vertical specific content for key About Amazon websites.
• Translate key business questions related to audience, content, or channel into research and analysis, defining the sets of data required for each project.
• Counsel international editorial team on how to tell a story with data, which metrics to prioritize, and how to draw insights from data.
• Support team’s goal setting and tracking program by tracking team progress towards goals and advising on KPIs that will most effectively and accurately measure the impact of content and channels.
• Work cross-functionally with other analytics, reporting, and research teams to develop and share best practices and learnings, define and refine benchmarks, and develop best-in-class insights.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement solutions that can scale globally, based on data insights from multiple sources and across multiple channels.
• Be resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.
• Keep updated on industry trends and best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Communications or Marketing, or equivalent years of experience.
- 4+ years of data analytics experience
- 4+ years of experience with analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Parse.ly and Google Search Console.
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, journalism, or related fields.
- 4+ years of experience with Excel (data manipulation, Vlookup, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working at a global company managing international projects
- Experience working at a digital news publication or with digital editorial content
- Experience in project/technical program management with a proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record assuming ownership, moving quickly to implement ideas, and delivering results and in a fast-paced online environment.
- Innate curiosity and willingness to experiment and try new things

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
