The Senior Post Silicon Engineer will play a pivotal role in a team that brings-up, validates and characterizes cutting edge MODEM SOC. In this role you will own Post Silicon validation of Embedded Processors, PLL, SRAM, DDR, SERDES. In addition, you will work with product team to ensure successful integration, bring up and performance of MODEM SOC in Project Kuiper products.
Key Job Responsibilities
• Define, Own and maintain Validation/Characterization plan for MODEM SOC and associated peripherals.
• Define, Design and Bring Up SOC Test Platforms.
• Own test automation and testbenches, for validation of high-speed interfaces and other Peripherals
• Drive System Level Debugs working alongside Design, DV, Architects and Manufacturing teams
• Work in FPGA, Emulators and DV Environment to ensure successful Bring Up.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of work experience in Bring Up, Validation and characterization of SOC or ASIC
• Familiarity with protocols such as I2C, SPI, I3C and eMMC
• Experience using Bench top instruments (Power Supply, DMM, High Speed Oscilloscope, Signal generator and DAQs)
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Embedded C
• Familiarity using Lauterbach or other JTAG Based debuggers to program/debug Embedded Processors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience Validating and Characterizing high-speed interfaces (e.g. SERDES, DDR)
• Power Analysis and Characterization
• Fundamental Knowledge of Signal-Integrity and Power-Integrity
• Experience using FPGA or Emulator for Pre-Silicon Validation and Bring-Up Prep.
• Working knowledge of a MODEM is a plus
• High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction
