Security Issue Management team is looking for a customer focused, detail oriented, experienced Front-End Engineer to join our team. This team will be responsible to build the security console for entire Amazon that will be used by leaders, security engineers, service teams to understand the security posture of their org or team and drive actions to raise the overall security bar.
Key job responsibilities
As an engineer on Security Issue Management engineering team, your job will be to work with an outstanding development team to implement a first-in-class experience for customers. You will work with Product and UX teams and own solutions from design and execution through deployment and support, using the best of available tools. You will be responsible for holding the code quality high, even as we optimize our development processes to better serve our customers.
A day in the life
• You are a quick learner who can adapt to new technologies seamlessly.
• You can identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.
• You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.
• You can translate high level UI requirements into modularized re-usable components.
• Make use of the CDD methodology to build UI from scratch, making use of open-source tools / libraries as well as enterprise tools as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent AND 3+ years of professional front end development experience
- Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. React.JS, AngularJS, Vue)
- UX design skills, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to rapidly prototype and adjust in response to customer feedback
- Coding practices including peer code reviews, unit testing, and a preference for agile development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences and reusable UX components or libraries.
- Understands how to optimize the delivery of code and assets to a browser or device.
- Proficient in software design approaches and common UX patterns
- Knows when to use front-end software design pattern.
- Ability to decompose a problem into clear software and UX design actions.
- Ability to articulate the benefits and challenges of depending on front-end libraries, frameworks, and toolsets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
