The Internal Operational Risk Management Leader, reporting to the Director of Strategy, Integration & Engagement (SI&E), is responsible for leading the Global Procurement Organization's (GPO) risk management efforts. This role identifies, assesses, manages, and controls potential risks across various areas, developing and implementing mitigation strategies. The Internal Operational Risk Management Leader continuously monitors and adjusts risk management strategies in response to changes, creates awareness of potential threats and proactive measures, and collaborates with stakeholders to establish contingency plans, communication protocols, and crisis impact minimization strategies. Utilizing risk management tools and software, this role streamlines risk identification, assessment, and mitigation processes, ensuring alignment with GPO's strategic objectives and creating tangible value through effective risk management practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of working cross functionally across several teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $214,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
