We are looking for a talented attorney to support for the global fleet and product teams within Amazon’s rapidly growing and evolving Last Mile operations organization in North America. You will be an integral part of the business teams you support, serving as lead counsel on a variety of matters, including negotiating strategic technology transactions, fleet procurement, and other commercial deals; acting as product counsel for emerging fleet technology; and advising on fleet deployment, safety, and regulatory compliance and policy issues. You will help the business teams develop programs and tools to continually improve the delivery experience and safety of drivers, customers, and the broader community. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and provide us with the flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
As you will be working with central business teams who are developing products and technology that will be leveraged globally, some travel, domestic and international, will be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience (ideally in a start-up or other rapid growth phase) is a plus
- Ability to work effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in fast-paced, ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and computer skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
