Finance ACES Black Belts apply Lean Six Sigma problem-solving skills to continuously improve Amazon processes, align them with customer requirements, and deliver positive impacts in controllership and cost savings. Black Belts apply a mix of quantitative and leadership skills to identify areas of improvement and prioritize resources. Black Belts drive the culture of self-inspection and continuous improvement where acting on fact and eliminating defects and waste is the norm. Black Belts contribute to the Finance Operations Production System by leading and mentoring projects, conducting training events, developing materials, and providing metrics on improvements and performance of the program. Black Belts have a documented track record of leading, building rapport, and mentoring process improvement teams consisting of members of all levels and functions, without formal reporting relationships. Finance ACES Black Belts demonstrate Amazon Leadership Principles.
Responsibilities:
- Lead high impact Lean Six Sigma projects (DMAIC, DFSS, Kaizen, FMEA, etc.)
- Mentor Green Belts, Yellow Belts, and Kaizen leaders through their projects.
- Deliver Lean Six Sigma training (Green Belt, Kaizen, etc.)
- Support Finance Operations Production System (FOPS) with continued development of materials, techniques, and metrics.
- Manage a portfolio of improvement projects, including auditing of implemented projects to ensure that process improvements are sustained and benefits are realized.
- Represent Finance ACES in local and global meetings/conference calls and with network-wide projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
