Key job responsibilities
- Compile and lead financial results and operational reviews including reporting for month end close (MEC) and weekly business reviews (WBR)
- Provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support to business and finance partners
- Be the single threaded leader and SME for all financial related deliverables for Global Logistic (GL) and partner with GL execution finance teams,
- Drive automation and scale of financial reporting. Simplify process for internal stakeholders (e.g., finance peers, and business partners)
- Drive finance communication with partner teams on financial performance and impact, including identification of risks and opportunities
- Provide insights and clarity on team opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with business teams and Finance stakeholders to help develop short- and long-term reporting, models and forecasts
- Lead key analytical projects that influence senior leadership decision making
- Partnering with Senior Managers and Directors to drive strategic initiatives and long term success
- Creating, improving, and maintaining business/financial metrics, reports and reviews
- Communicating financial and business results including variance analyses to senior business leaders
- Creating, improving, and maintaining financial models
- Gathering analytical insights and developing financial frameworks that inform business improvement
- Oversee team responsible for reporting of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and operational performance metrics, including financial commentary
- Help the company have clear visibility on the end to end Inbound supply chain starting from the vendor through the final storage location.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
