The Project Kuiper North America Consumer team is looking for a talented individual to lead the strategy for key consumer segments. Key Segments will include; low-income consumers, public funding recipients, small businesses, and more. This role is responsible for launching consumer products and services. You will have a high degree of ownership as you define target customer segments, product positioning, and service launch plans. You will work closely with the US GTM Lead, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Global Planning and Operations, Customer Service, Field Services, and more. A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial, highly analytical, and able to work extremely effectively in a matrixed organization. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially related to consumer products and services. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment—all while ensuring a successful service launch in the US.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop the strategy to launch consumer broadband products and services for key segments, establish business plans (including revenue and profitability targets), and orchestrate that plan across the organization
- Leverage specialized geospatial analytics tools, complex network models, and technical expertise to build regional plans that match the needs of key customer segments
- Generate in-depth analysis and insights to define target customer segments and develop product positioning
- Develop the bid and pursuit strategy for public funding opportunities. Own end-to-end business development process for request for proposals, grant applications, and more
- Evaluate competitive landscape and benchmark service plans, pricing, features, and partnerships
- Own launch readiness for key segments in key segments and lead cross-functional team across product, sales, marketing, operations, business, legal, finance, and other partner teams
- Deliver insightful business analyses, financial models, and comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders
- Prepare detailed business cases for justification of new opportunities
- Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to engage in business partnerships and local regulatory efforts
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5+ years experience in a corporate strategy or business development role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- 5+ years in technology, media, or telecommunications; satellite internet; or subscription services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
