In this role, you will manage a team of software engineers responsible for Satellite ground equipment applications and system devs responsible for ground venues such as test satellites and test equipment. Our mission is to ensure the software required for satellites and ground equipment is built, deployed and tracked continuously for reliability and consistency. Our focuses are on reliability, accessibility, and autonomy.

Work closely with engineers to architect and deliver the best technical designs and approaches.

About the team
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience building software with hardware interface

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
