The Role:
As Senior Software Development Engineer in the Silicon & Systems team, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and develop innovative software solutions for products developed for and deployed in Kuiper’s phased array antennas in LEO satellites and ground terminal products. You will work closely with internal inter-disciplinary teams and third-party vendors to implement software systems and tools to support the development of ICs, automate the ingestion of data from different sources, and generate data analytics / insights into product / system performance and metrics to meet our customers’ needs. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

In this role you will:
 Implement an Extract, Transform, and Load pipeline using AWS technologies
 Interface with System, Product and Test Engineers to support the analysis of production, characterization, and qualification data
 Define secure mechanisms to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of silicon data
 Support integration of new data sources, including downstream processes such as phased array panel assembly / manufacturing, and debug integration issues with existing data sources to our yield management system
 Create web interfaces for internal customers to reference data in the data lake, support customer returns, and monitor the data pipeline
 Define internal data format standards for use in ATE test programs, outsource fab and assembly site data, and other data sources
 Incorporate machine-learning algorithms to automate insights into manufacturing patterns to optimize product performance and quality
 Implement a ground-up semiconductor NPI system integrated across systems such as Agile, Jira and Confluence
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering / computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience programming with C, C#, and Python programming languages
- 7+ years of experience in software development with preferred focus on systems and solutions in the semiconductor industry.
- Up to 20% domestic or international travel required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Masters or PhD degree in Electrical /Engineering Computer Science or related field.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Strong background in one or more of the following:
- Exensio / Optimal test / other semiconductor data management platforms – scripting skills preferred
- Implementation and bring-up of ML tools and algorithms
- Conversant with test data outputs such as STDFs from UFLEX and V93K ATEs.
- Proficiency in statistics & data analysis.
- Knowledge of AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, S3, ECS, VPC, and IAM
- Experience in defining secure AWS cloud architectures using VPC, IAM, Cognito, and CDK
- Experience with internal web services and APIs with support for authentication and authorization.
- Working knowledge of database and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and E2Open.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor product development and production flow

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
