Amazon’s Retail Video Game team seeks an experienced Program Manager to drive our vision of "being where gamers are." In this high-impact role, you will focus on expanding collaboration with IP holders (internal and external) and navigate ambiguity to establish and deliver against strategies that maximize visibility, impact, and funding for pan-Amazon Video Game launch moments. You will be responsible for managing existing programs and delivering complex, cross-functional projects and negotiations aligned with team goals.

Key job responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnership Development:

* Collaborate with various teams across Amazon to identify and pursue strategic partnerships in the gaming and entertainment space
* Build and maintain relationships with IP holders, publishers, and licensees to expand customer offerings and products.

2. Cross-Media Content Strategy:

* Develop strategies for retail opportunities related to video game adaptations in movies/TV
* Negotiate licensed exclusives and digital promotions with internal and external partners.
* Collaborate with content teams to leverage marketing opportunities for major product launches.

3. Program Management:

* Manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of effort under control for transmedia and licensing partnership programs.
* Drive decision-making, remove obstacles, and escalate issues to ensure program success.
* Implement process improvement methodologies to optimize execution.

4. Business Strategy and Analysis:

* Understand relevant business requirements, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for transmedia and licensing partnerships.
* Identify stakeholder needs and help teams make trade-offs by considering the larger picture (e.g., customer experience, financial goals, compliance, legal, brand, public relations).
* Determine and define success metrics for partnership programs.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

* Collaborate with Associates and Influencer teams to build partner-friendly business development plans for gaming-centric creators.
* Develop standardized processes for digital promotional initiatives.

6. Communication and Documentation:

* Manage program communication, including creating strategic documentation.
* Contribute to data collection, strategy development and input to bi-annual operational planning

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
