We are looking for a passionate, technical, and results-oriented Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team. The Principal Technical Program Manager in the Datapath organization owns programs, planning, and client engagement. The TPM builds internal mechanisms to maximize the capacity of Datapath across engineering teams spread across 4 locations. With hundreds of client teams, the TPM, in partnership with peer PMTs, builds customer-facing mechanisms to improve roadmap prioritization, transparency, and customer satisfaction. Leaders in this space need to create a culture of innovation, encouraging their colleagues to find new and better ways to identify and solve problems.
The TPM drives large programs, like reducing builder toil, improving cost of operations for Datapath and client teams, with significantly complex cross-functional technology initiatives. They remediate critical problems and manage escalations, as needed. They work on disambiguating complex requirements, driving clarity, building consensus and they define architectural strategies to meet the needs of Amazon builders developing logic for Datapath and improve their productivity by proposing solutions to streamline their experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing programs across organizations running large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
