As Sr. UX Designer, you will own online shopping and brand-building inspirational and educational experiences for Amazon Devices, defining and designing interfaces across platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile) and channels (amazon.com, internal tooling) that scale. You will tackle our most difficult customer problems as they discover, evaluate, and purchase Amazon Devices and work with a high degree of ambiguity, designing best-in-class consumer experiences (user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, etc.) in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. You will influence strategy and work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, creative direction, brand strategy, research, and company leaders to successfully go from early-stage concepts to launch, and support new Amazon Device launches as innovative technology is released to the public. You will act as a “bar raiser” for the work deployed from the User Experience team to external and internal customers and create mechanisms, frameworks, and design systems to maintain a high bar across the User Experience team. You will be an Amazon Devices “ambassador,” driving cross-organizational collaboration and sharing, and evangelize the UX work the team is doing to drive best practices throughout the company.
You must be responsive, flexible, and able to deal with ambiguity, stakeholder complexity, and the fluidity of emerging technologies within an open and collaborative peer environment. You will visualize experiences in the abstract and drive that vision into solid design deliverables that achieve the customer goals and business requirements.
