Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, motivated Engineer to design, develop, test, and lead the development of software which control and optimizes robotic fulfillment centers used by amazon.com operations.As an engineer on the Fleet Management team, you are a key member of a diverse, collaborative team of engineers who deliver highly scalable robotic systems. You will support and lead the design and development of services which allocate and assign tasks to a fleet of autonomous vehicles, and track the state of resources associated with such fleets. Our team’s software paves the way for integration of autonomous vehicles in the Amazon fulfillment network.You will have opportunities to collaborate and work with research scientists, applied scientists, data scientists and cross-functional teams on cutting-edge automation solutions for ever-growing robotic fleet.Key job responsibilities- Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.- Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap.- Work with stakeholders across organization to iterate on design and implementation.- Maintain high standards by participating in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement.- Prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipment- Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback- Mentor other engineer team members.A day in the lifeAmazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children.
